Great, I’ve updated the article, thanks.

Do you guys run the odroid on a micro-sd card or do you buy the emmc module? The latter almost doubles the cost of the darn thing, but my experience with micro-sd is not very good…

I saw mixed reports w.r.t. µSD on the forums, but my new C1 is running fine with a Sandisk 16 GB µSD and the Jan 2015 Ubuntu 14.04 image.
Did decide to also order an eMMC after all, that way I can easily make backups to the SD. Another option would be SD w/ USB stick for data or backup.
From earlier Odroid U2/U3 units I can confirm that eMMC feels noticeably snappier.

The C1 can benefit from (and take advantage) of a high speed MicroSD far more than the RPi.

Oh and WELCOME BACK JC! I turn my back for a couple of months and you emerge from the super secret inventing shed and start posting weblogs again! :-)

Yay! /

I only stuck my head round the door to see if anyone has tried a C1 head to head with an RPi2 yet, and I’ve ended up with a maze of new posts to read and thoughts to process! :-D

Haven’t had a chance to compare yet, though others are starting to do so.
My first reaction would be: shrug, both are bound to be great performers…
