PiNode – Looking for feedback
I’ve got a JeeNode Micro attached to a Raspberry Pi but now I’m looking for a more permanent installation which also fits in the case I got. My goal is to get something like a JeeLink (ATmega328, 16MHz crystal, RFM12B, LDO regulator) but directly connected to the RPi.
The board will be reflow-soldered as most of the through-hole components are just too big to fit inside the case. What do you think about the design? Will it work? Is it correct to connect RPi TX to ATmega RX and vice versa? If I understand it correctly R2,R3,C4 are used to protect the RPi Interface (copied from JeeNode USB layout). Do you think this is useful here as it will be a static installation?
PS: Eagle files will follow as soon as design is finalized.
