JeeNode USB Battery connection

Added by haeleng over 3 years ago

Hi,

I have a new JeeNode USB v5 board.
Where can I find the schematic of V5.
I do have the schematic of V3 but like to have V5.
At what pins should I connect a Lipo Battery.
Is their a way connect the battery without being drained when the board is not used?
What is the operating current of the JeeNode USB V5 or where can I find the spec.
Thanks in advance

haeleng,

I’ve added the schematic to the end of the Wiki

The Lipo connects between any of the PWR pins and GND - you can use one of the Jeeport connectors for this and avoid draining the battery when not in use.
With the ATMega sleeping, the quiescent current is quite low, probably lower than the self-discharge current of the Lipo.
The operating current depends very much on what you are doing - “this” graph: http://jeelabs.org/2013/10/05/flashback-anatomy-of-a-transmission/ illustrates various idle/compute/transmit states.

Thanks for the response.
How can I put the atmega in sleep.
And when in sleep, how do I start the Atmega up, without downloading the code again.
Thanks again.

haeleng,

Have a search of the Weblog for ‘sleep’ - there are several examples there.

You can of course just disconnect the power - the last downloaded sketch is still there when you power back up.
